Saint-Guénolé

Saint-Guénolé, on the Breton peninsula of Penmarc'h, was one of Caillard's most sustained working grounds after the war. The jagged coastline, the fishing boats, and the raw northern light gave him material for a body of work that contrasts sharply with the warmer palette of his tropical travels.
